Glow in the dark pigment research

Sonsoles Print Studio

Sonsole are a screen printing company, who speacialise in soley screen printing.
They are a london based studio that offer open work spaces for individuals to book in and use their facilities.
I think they also offer a printing service as well. However the largest you can print up to is size A0. Obviously laura and jennipa know more about screen printing than i do, so understand the ways in which a print can be created on large scale repeat. Obviously doing it this way would be very time consuming and expensive making our product much more costly and potentially priced out of out market.
They do however screen print with glow in the dark pigments, showing it is possible and used in the printing industry.
Perhaps one option we could explore would be to get the paper printed elswehere and we then screen print the glow pigments ourdelves?

You can get a quote for how much your design would cost for them to print, the criteria is :

Perhaps we could contact the to see how much it would cost just to produce a sample of our design, if we struggle sourcing the materials to do it ourselves.

Next i have found a company Called Nazdar who sell all varieties of printing inks, including screen printing inks. They sell phosphorescent powder (glow in the dark) they don't have any prices or much information about them really, we have to contact them to find out more..

However they do have the specification sheet

I dont really understand any if this if im honest, does someone want to email them to find out more information?
If so, there distribution office (nazdar limited) is just down the road from me in stockport! Im home thursday day so could maybe try and find it and pick some up if we can get hold of them?

I have also found a company called Sinkro, who also specialise in inks for printing.
They sell phosphorescent ink for flexo and gravure printing (nazdar glow pigments are also applicable in this way)

I researched what this is as i didn't know and they are types of industrial machine printing methods. Many are used to produce packaging and magazines etc, but also wallpaper.
There are loads of companies out there that offer flexo printing but most talk about it just for packaging.

I have found a company called 'Surface Print' who produce wallpapers solely for the customer. They do not produce their own designs, only those that are sent to them... Cath Kidston is one of their clients.

This is a direct quote from their website "As we do not produce any of our own ranges our focus and attention is always on that of our customers. You can be assured a dedicated and personal service from initial conception to delivery and beyond. Our customers are always our main priority.
We print wallcoverings for many respected UK and international designers whose work features in the homes of Royal families and celebrities, in hotels and on TV and film sets all over the world."
One of their printing methods is flexo printing so i assume they probably wouldn't have an issue working with the inks i have found. They produce samples and when approved most often or not print in bulk.
They're based in lancashire so would reduce the production costs massively! I think this is definitely a viable option and would be great if we could get in contact with them

I found a website with loads of information on how wallpaper is produced including a great section on quality control.. There is a lot of information here we can rip
