"30% of parents claim their home is too small for the family and 25% of kids are forced to share a bedroom, according to a study carried out by property website Findaproperty.com. A million people expect to become parents within the next few months and 14% worry their home is not big enough for the baby."
Another report I've found from Mintel, this one I think it relevant again for considering our target market. An understanding that many children will be sharing a room. This could work in our favor, as parents will only have to buy one rooms worth of our wall paper. So if it was going to be at a higher price then we can justify it by claiming that 25% of children have to share a room.
However...This could also work in our favour if our products were cheap too. As 75% of children do not share a room. Therefore more money would have to spent per family who have more than one child..which could then potentially get damaged by the children, and then becoming too much of an investment for the parents.
Below is a quote i found saying how 1 in 7 families have 3 or more children (2012), could possibly find a better more recent quote for this....
"There were 7.7 million families with dependent children in the UK in 2012, 1 in 7 of which had three or more dependent children" - http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/family-demography/family-size/2012/family-size-rpt.html
